I had to make a run to a warehouse we have at work and after doing my thing I went to head back out the door and noticed that a quick photo was in order. Just looked really good sitting how it was in the lighting at the moment. 2006 Sportster 883R by the way.

What is you favorite version of this pic...1,2, or 3?

Sharp bike! Does the exhaust wrap keep temps down significantly? I always heard it did, but have never had any experience with it.

Well I could lay my hand on it longer than I could bare pipe that is for sure! It mainly keeps more heat inside the pipe to keep gas velocity up to help with scavenging...I believe. I mainly just did it to keep with the semi old-school look since this bike is inspired by the old Harley flat track bikes.

The indicators, they confuse me.

I mounted them inside the forks to keep the bike as narrow as I could. I had never seen it done so I gave it a shot. I am just glad somebody noticed good or bad!

It's just that they are so close to each other. How can anyone tell which one is flashing?

In other news, Sportsters are growing on me. I like that people are putting the "sport" back in them with the track bike/cafe racer trend.

In the past, people bought Sportsters and tried to turn them into touring bike, or dressed them up to be all shiny.

I really like the "48" and that XL1200.

Well, it is a concern but most of the time I am close enough to the other cars that I "assume" they should have no issue seeing which one is flashing. My rear signals are further apart with no confusion.

I am not a fan of the dressed up ones but they can do what they want. Mine is a bit bobber style, a bit cafe' style, and more tracker style while still being a comfortable bike to ride.
